Our Cycling Routes
Restored rail corridors designed for comfortable, supported cycling experiences across Latvia's countryside
Ērgļi to Vecpiebalga Rail Corridor
A fully guided 45-kilometer gravel cycling day across the restored Ērgļi–Vecpiebalga rail line. We provide support vehicles at every rest stop, refreshments at the halfway point, and detailed stops at three historic railway stations. Perfect for cyclists aged 55+ seeking manageable daily distances with genuine Latvian countryside immersion.
Three-Day Rail Heritage Tour
Explore three different abandoned rail corridors over three days, covering 35–40 kilometers daily. We handle all logistics—accommodation in small rural guesthouses, meals featuring local ingredients, and guided cultural walks through villages along the routes. 2024 cohort included 18 participants from six countries, ages 58–76.
Gravel Bike Preparation Workshop
A practical four-hour session covering gravel bike setup, basic maintenance, tire pressure for different surfaces, and techniques for comfortable long-distance riding. We've run 12 workshops since 2023, with participants learning to adjust their own bikes before heading out on routes. Each session includes hands-on practice and a short test ride.
Historic Station Heritage Rides
We've documented and created cycling routes that connect 14 restored and heritage railway stations across Latvia. Each route includes guided visits to station buildings, local history talks from regional historians, and connections to village museums. Riders learn about Latvia's rail expansion from 1890–1940 while cycling between living history sites.
